Delta Reign Preorders: The Cheapest Box Isn't on Amazon

> Quick answer: Delta Reign preorders are live at Amazon, Target and Walmart, and the set releases November 6. The 36-pack Booster Display Box is about $30 cheaper at Walmart than on Amazon, so check Walmart and TCGplayer before you lock in.

If you're preordering Delta Reign, the price you pay depends a lot on where you buy. Some Amazon listings come in under market. Others don't. And the cheapest booster box isn't on Amazon at all.

Here's what each product costs right now and which ones are worth preordering.

Note for international readers: the prices below are US retailer listings and TCGplayer market prices in US dollars.

What is Delta Reign?

Delta Reign is a Mega Rayquaza-themed Pokémon TCG expansion. It releases on November 6, and preorders are already open at Amazon, Target and Walmart.

Mega Rayquaza is the headline, so expect strong demand early on. That's why it pays to know the market price before you click buy.

When does Delta Reign release, and when will Amazon preorders arrive?

The official release date is November 6. Amazon preorders are expected to deliver around November 10, a few days after release.

If you want your product on day one, keep that gap in mind. If a few days doesn't matter to you, Amazon works fine. The bigger question is price.

How much is the Delta Reign Booster Bundle?

The Booster Bundle is $74.95 on Amazon. The TCGplayer market price is $78.44, so the Amazon listing is under market.

That works out to about $12.49 per pack.

One thing to watch: this listing is from a third-party seller, Kings Games, not Amazon itself. Check the seller details before you order, as you would with any third-party listing.

Still, if you want a Booster Bundle, paying under market on a preorder is a good result.

How much is the Delta Reign Booster Display Box?

The 36-pack Booster Display Box is $269.95 on Amazon. The TCGplayer market price is $261.08, so Amazon is about $8 over market.

That's about $7.50 per pack, which is much better per pack than the Booster Bundle. If you're opening a lot of packs, the Display Box is usually the better buy.

But you don't have to pay Amazon's price for it.

Where is the cheapest Delta Reign booster box?

Walmart. Its Booster Display Box preorder is about $30 cheaper than Amazon's and well under the TCGplayer market price.

That's the best deal in this lineup. Amazon's box is over market. Walmart's is well under it. Same product, same set, a noticeably lower price.

If a Display Box is on your list, check Walmart first. Retail preorder stock can sell out quickly, so don't wait too long if you see it available.

How much is the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box?

The Elite Trainer Box is $139.95 on Amazon and includes 9 Delta Reign booster packs.

ETBs are worth a careful look right now. 30th Celebration ETBs have moved around enough that some buyers paid over $200 for one. Popular ETBs don't always stay near their launch price.

That doesn't guarantee Delta Reign ETBs will follow the same path. It does mean a preorder at a set retail price can protect you from paying a spiked price after release.

If you mainly want the ETB for the accessories and the box, or you're collecting sealed product, a preorder can make sense. If you only want packs, the Display Box gives you a lower cost per pack.

How do you get the best Delta Reign preorder price?

Keep it simple: lock in at or under market.

1. Check TCGplayer first. Know the market price before you buy anything.

2. Check Walmart next. It has the cheapest Display Box right now.

3. Compare Amazon last. The Booster Bundle there is under market, but the Display Box is over.

4. Check the seller. Some Amazon listings come from third parties, like the Kings Games Booster Bundle.

5. Factor in delivery timing. Amazon is expected to deliver around November 10, after the November 6 release.

Preordering only helps if you pay a fair price. Paying over market on a preorder means you lose the main benefit of buying early.
