Card grading explained: PSA, BGS and CGC

Video · 0:36 · Published September 20, 2026

A 36-second explainer on trading card grading. It compares the three big graders, PSA, Beckett (BGS) and CGC, shows how to tell if grading is worth the fee, and names the four things graders check.

Transcript

Thinking about grading your cards? A top grade can multiply a card's price, and a low one can be worth less than the fee.

PSA usually sells for the most, Beckett suits near perfect cards, and CGC costs less and is strong in trading card games.

Before you pay, look up the raw price, look up the grade you realistically expect, and subtract every fee. Graders check centering, corners, edges, and surface.
